9 DAYS KENYA SAFARI
This nine days safari takes you to some of Kenya’s best Parks which include: Masai Mara,
Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Samburu and Mount Kenya. During the safari you will traverse the great rift-valley and sisal plantations and experience Kenya like never before.

DAY 1: NAIROBI-MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
On the day of your arrival, meet and greet with our representative at the airport where you
shall be briefed about the itinerary then Depart for a journey south along the floor of the
great rift valley then past Narok, climb the western wall entering Hemingway’s country
”Serengeti plans’’. Arrival in time for lunch. Afternoon enjoy a game drive in this famous
reserve. Dinner and overnight at Lenchada Tourist camp.

DAY 2 & 3: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Full day at this famous reserve searching for wild game with an option to enjoy a balloon
safari.
The Mara is the land of African legend: Lion are abundant throughout the park, as are the
elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also
regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature’s
few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September where the big
animals and their predators are to be present in abundance during the time frame of this
trip. Several species of Bee-Eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of the Mara’s birds,
occur in the reserve. As well as wildlife, the Maasai Mara is also home to many members of
the colorful Maasai tribe who may be seen around the borders of the park – Morans
(warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders grouped under a
tree discussing matters of the day. Dinner and overnight at Lenchada Tourist Camp.

DAY 4: MASAI MARA-LAKE NAIVASHA
Early morning game drive. Return to the camp for breakfast. Depart for Lake Naivasha with
a stop at the Narok which is the Masai city. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon proceed for a
boat ride(own cost) at Lake Naivasha. You have an option to visit Crescent Island (extra cost) while enjoying the boat ride. The rest of evening spent at leisure. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus is almost 13 km’s across, but its waters are shallow with an average depth of five metres. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, Buffalo wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the Lakes large hippo populations sleep the day out in the shallows. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAY5: LAKE NAIVASHA-LAKE NAKURU
Early breakfast at the camp. Proceed to Hell’s Gate National Park. Soon after you enter the park the impressive landscape unfolds before you, and you are transported to a dramatic, semi-arid world, with sheer rugged cliffs, open plains and deep concealed gorges. There are many activities you can do within Hell’s Gate including, walking, cycling, rock climbing, bird watching and trekking through the gorge amongst the geysers. Return to the camp for lunch. After lunch depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Proceed for an evening game drive at the park. Dinner and overnight Genevieve Hotel.

DAY 6: LAKE NAKURU-SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
Early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. This shallow Soda Lake has been famous for its flamingos but has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than400 species of bird found here. You may get out of the vehicle at the lake shore to get a closer look at the birds. The nearby cliffs offer sightings of baboons, birds of prey and scurrying hyraxes, as well as great views of the park. The national park covers 180 sq km and is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard as well as white and black rhinos which were introduced to the park some years ago. Return to the hotel for breakfast. . Check out and drive north to Samburu National Reserve with lunch enroute. Arrive late evening. Dinner and overnight at Umoja Camp.

DAY 7: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
Full day spent in Samburu with early morning and afternoon game drives in Samburu
Game Reserve, which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers). Ololokwe Table
Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing. Samburu is also home to the
third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern
parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk
gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope. Dinner and overnight at Umoja
camp.

DAY 8: SAMBURU- MOUNT KENYA
Breakfast at the camp check out and drive to Mount Kenya slopes. Mount Kenya is the
Second highest Mountain in Africa after Mount Kilimanjaro.
Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon spent at leisure with optional activities such as
Nature hike to Mau Mau Caves, Bird Watching & Search for rare Black
& White Colobus Monkey, Canopy Walk, Horse Riding, Boating, Fishing all at an extra cost.
Dinner and overnight at Naro Moru River Lodge Campsite. (pitched tents).

DAY 9: MOUNT KENYA HALF DAY TRIP – NAIROBI
Early breakfast at the lodge. Depart for a half day hike of Mount Kenya.
NAROMORU ROUTE
Naro Moru route is the quickest way to climb Mount Kenya. It is also one of the steepest routes and extra care should be taken here to avoid problems with AMS. Drive to the gate then walk to the Met Station at an altitude of 2930m a distance of 9 kms and takes 3 hours to climb. Descend and meet your driver at the gate. Depart for Nairobi to arrive in the late afternoon (lunch own cost) Drop off at the airport for final departure.
