DAY 1: NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK
On the day of your arrival, meet and greet with our representative at the airport where you shall be briefed about the itinerary then proceed to the hotel for check in and leisure time. In the afternoon enjoy game drive at Nairobi National Park (approximately 3hrs) Nairobi national park contains a satisfying number of Africa’s best known animals- gazelle, zebra, giraffe and buffalo, lion, leopard, and cheetah that may prove to be camera friendly. The park is one of the best places in Kenya to spot rhinos. In the southeast of the park you can walk through an acacia forest to try to spot hippopotamus and crocodiles sunning themselves on Athi river. In the evening Dinner and overnight at Nairobi safari club.
DAY 2: NAIROBI-TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, Pick up from the hotel in the morning and drive to Tsavo East national park. Game- drive en route the camp for check in. Arrive in the evening and enjoy some rest.
The park is renowned for its large numbers of elephants and the famous man eating lions. In 1898, as many as 135 railway workers were attacked and killed by man-eating lions. The pair of male, maneless lions that, unusually, hunted humans rather than livestock, evaded traps and capture for many months. The man-eaters were eventually shot by Lt. Col. John Henry Patterson, but the legend lives on.
A variety of animals can be seen in the park such as lions, leopard, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, serval, antelopes, kongoni, lesser kudu, oryx, klipspringer, impala, stripped hyena, ostriches, gazelles, buffalos, elephants and many more. DAY 3: TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast leave Tsavo East for Tsavo West with picnic lunch. Enjoy a full day game drive. While in Tsavo West National park You will visit the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary – a 70 square Kilometer fenced area where Tsavo’s growing population of endangered black rhino are inching their way back from the chasm of extinction that was forced upon them by rampant poaching in the 1960’s. You will also visit Mzima Springs which are fed daily by 250 million liters of water gushing from the chyulu hills provide an oasis of green, an underwater hippo viewing chamber, two nature trials and some unique picnic spots.
The molten lava that forms the shetani lava flow spewed from the earth just some years ago and its fiery furry was thought by the local people to be the work of devil, hence its name which means devil in Swahili. In the evening return to the Camp for Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Tsavo Camp.
Day 3: TSAVO EAST-NAIROBI
Breakfast at the Camp. Depart for Nairobi arriving late afternoon. Lunch enroute (own cost). On arrival drop of at your hotel or Airport.
