10 DAYS KENYA SAFARI ITINERARY
Day 1: Nairobi/ Masai Mara
On the day of your arrival, meet and greet with our representative at the airport where you shall be briefed about the itinerary then Depart Nairobi for a journey south along the floor of the great rift valley then past Narok climb the western wall entering Hemingway’s country ‘’Serengeti plans’’ Lunch at Narok. Afternoon enjoy a game drive in this famous reserve. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 2: Masai Mara
Full day game viewing whereby you leave the camp after breakfast with picnic lunch.
The Mara is the land of African legend: Lion are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature’s few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September where the big animals and their predators are to be present in abundance during the time frame of this trip. Several species of Bee-Eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of the Mara’s birds, occur in the reserve. As well as wildlife, the Maasai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai tribe who may be seen around the borders of the park – Morans (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders grouped under a tree discussing matters of the day. Optional balloon safari is also available and visit to masai village. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 3: Mara – Naivasha
Early morning game drive after breakfast as you leave. Depart for Naivasha via Nairobi. A stopover is provided at Mai Mahiu for lunch then depart for Lake Naivasha. Arrive and check in at the camp later depart for Lake Naivasha to have a boat ride. The rest of the evening could be spent at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Camp Carnelley’s.
Day 4: Naivasha-Amboseli National Park
Early in the morning after breakfast check out from your camp and drive south to Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at the camp with the immense grandeur of Mt Kilimanjaro in the background. Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, 5895m Kilimanjaro, is one of the most popular of Kenya’s national parks. Amboseli National Park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery it is dwarfed by the presence of
the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro which, at 5,896 meters, is the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Against this magnificent backdrop roam vast herds of elephant accompanied by lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle hippo and wildebeest. There are also over 400 species of birds, all manner of reptilian, flora and fauna and some of the most soul-searing views in Africa.
Enjoy an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight the camp.
Day 5: Amboseli
Another exciting day in Amboseli National Park, we recommend that you get up early morning where one can experience excellent game viewing & an unprecedented view of the snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to your Camp for breakfast. You may opt for an additional game drive after breakfast to visit the swamp with its magnificent wildlife present all day long or simply relax at your lodge and take in the African wilderness. Afternoon game drives in anticipation of seeing the “BIG FIVE”.

Day 6: Amboseli-Tsavo West
Early morning game drive and depart for Tsavo West National Park The Park is a vast expansion of African savanna with a more diverse array of habitats which include open plains, semi desert scrub, woodland, Chyulu Hills and rock outcrops. It’s famous for the Red Elephants, Oryx, and Gerenuk among other mammal’s species and bird life. Other notable features include Mzima Springs which are water source for Mombasa Town, Shetani Lava Flow and Ash cones, which is an example of recent volcanic eruption. The Movie Ghost and the Darkness was shot here.
Dinner and overnight at Rhino Valley lodge
Day 7: Tsavo West National Park-Watamu
An early morning ‘Spice’ game drive permits further exploration of this great Park. The Park has large number of birds estimated to be over 500 species. After breakfast depart for Watamu. Your destination will be Sabasaba Villa Watamu(five minutes walk from the beach) where you will arrive late afternoon. Lunch enroute (own cost). Afternoon spent at leisure at the villa or at the beach.
Day 8-Day 9-Optional Activities
Two full days spent enjoying the white beaches. You can also opt for activities available at an extra cost as follows:
Option 1: EXCURSION
Breakfast. Depart for the ancient city of Gedi – a 13th century ruin in the heart of a dense forest. Visit Giriama village near Gedi. Thereafter proceed onto the coastal town of Malindi for lunch (own cost) later visit the Vasco Da Gama pillar. Return to your hotel in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Sabasaba Villa.
Option 2: MIDA CREEK MARINE PARK
Early breakfast. Depart with boat for a full day trip visiting the Marine Park and Mida Creek. Mida Creek is a large saline lagoon that merges with a 1 600 hectare Mangrove forest. The area has a number of different habitats and supports a diverse range of flora and fauna including both indigenous and migratory species. Local guides meet you at the entrance where you can arrange (at a small cost) for a guided tour of the boardwalk followed by a canoe ride across the creek and an optional delicious lunch of grilled fish in coconut sauce. Other Islands to visit is Kirepwe and Sudi. Return in the evening to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Sabasaba Villa.
Day 10 :Watamu-Nairobi
Breakfast at the Villa. Depart for Malindi for a flight to Nairobi on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport connect to onward flight.
