like never before.

The Mara is the land of African legend: Lion are abundant throughout the park, as are the
elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also
regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature’s
few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September where the big
animals and their predators are to be present in abundance during the time frame of this
trip. Several species of Bee-Eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of the Mara’s birds,
occur in the reserve. As well as wildlife, the Maasai Mara is also home to many members of
the colorful Maasai tribe who may be seen around the borders of the park – Morans
(warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders grouped under a
tree discussing matters of the day. Dinner and overnight at Lenchada Tourist Camp.

DAY 3: MASAI MARA-LAKE NAIVASHA
Early morning game drive. Return to the camp for breakfast. Depart for Lake Naivasha with
a stop at the Narok which is the Masai city. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon proceed for a
boat ride(own cost) at Lake Naivasha. You have an option to visit Crescent Island (extra cost) while enjoying the boat ride. The rest of evening spent at leisure. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus is almost 13 km’s across, but its waters are shallow with an average depth of five metres. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, Buffalo wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the Lakes large hippo populations sleep the day out in the shallows. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAY4: LAKE NAIVASHA-LAKE NAKURU
Breakfast at the camp. Check out and drive down the Great Rift Valley viewing scenery en
route to Lake Nakuru National Park. This shallow Soda Lake has been famous for its
flamingos but has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than
400 species of bird found here. You may get out of the vehicle at the lake shore to get a
closer look at the birds. The nearby cliffs offer sightings of baboons, birds of prey and
scurrying hyraxes, as well as great views of the park. The national park covers 180 sq km
and is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard as
well as white and black rhinos which were introduced to the park some years ago. Lunch at
the hotel. Afternoon proceed for a game drive in the park with numerous animals. Dinner

Game Reserve, which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers). Ololokwe Table
Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing. Samburu is also home to the
third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern
parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk
gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope. Dinner and overnight at Umoja

DAY 8: MOUNT KENYA – AMBOSELI
Breakfast at the lodge. Depart for Amboseli with lunch enroute.
Arid looking as Amboseli has historically supported both game and the Masai that kept
their herds of cattle here. It is thanks to the waters that run off Africa’s greatest mountain
that the apparently dry Amboseli, Kenya’s first game sanctuary is able to support its
wildlife. Mount Kilimanjaro broods high over Amboseli, generally cloaked by clouds but
appearing in all its snow-shrouded magnificence from time to time. The mountain now
provides water for the park, wonderful views and, of course, the most glorious background
for animal photography. Enjoy an evening game drive in this scenic and wildlife rich park.
Dinner and overnight at Kimana Camp

DAY 9: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy an early morning and evening game drive in the Park. We recommend that you get
up very early in the morning so as to experience excellent game viewing & an
unprecedented view of the snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear. An optional visit to
the Masai village is provided on request at an extra cost. Meals and overnight at Kimana
Camp.
